Do you need some raw numbers to sell your client on the importance of Home Staging? We have some data you can use in your presentation. According to a 2019 study of 900 Real Estate Agents by Homelight, Home Staging is an important part of their marketing arsenal.

Why We Stage

Home Staging is useful in helping a potential buyer see the space in context. An empty room may appear to be smaller than it actually is. With the room furnished, your buyer can visualize how their things might fit into the same space.

Staging also helps attract a buyer during their initial search. Research shows that buyers decide what homes to visit based on their internet searches. A staged room creates a mood that can entice the buyer to add the home to their list. An empty room has a higher bar to reach to elicit the same emotional reaction from the buyer.

Statistics in the Study

  1. 67% of top agents say that home staging helps a seller fetch more money at close, while over 50% say that staging increases a home’s value from anywhere between 1%-10%.

  2. A quarter of agents believe staging increases interest from the buyer and attracts more bids.

  3. 92% of agents believe staging is beneficial to the sale.

  4. 83% say listings sell faster when staged.

  5. 75% of agents surveyed provide complimentary staging to their sellers.

There are more interesting tidbits in the survey, but the bottom line is Staged Homes attract more buyers, sell faster and sell for more money.
